Actress Usha Rani, who was known for her memorable supporting characters, died in Chennai on Sunday (June 21). She was 62. The veteran actress, who was known for her supporting roles in various Tamil and Malayam films, was reportedly was suffering from a kidney-related ailment. Her last rites were performed in Chennai, on Sunday evening.
She is the wife of late director N Sankaran Nair. Her funeral will take place in Chennai today evening. Though she had acted in several languages, she was prominently seen in Malayalam films. Many Mollywood celebrities such as Prithviraj Sukumaran, Tovino Thomas, and Jayasurya took to social media to pay their last respects to the late actress.
