A year ago, chief Vignesh Shivan reported that he will create Nayanthara‘s up and coming film titled ‘Netrikann’. Touted to be another lady driven spine chiller, the film went on the floors in September a year ago, and the most recent expansion to the cast is on-screen character Ajmal Ameer.

The news was confirmed by the actor himself in an interview. He said, “Netrikann revolves around two pivotal characters. While Nayanthara plays one of the roles, I play the other. It’s a film with a lot of twists and turns. With a very strong technical team, we’re certain that the film will come out very well.” The film is accepted to be an official redo of Korean spine chiller ‘Daze’ discharged in 2011. The film coordinated by Milan Rau will depict the tale of two characters played by Nayanthara and Ajmal. Nayanthara plays a cadet at a police institute, who loses her visual perception after a fender bender. The film additionally includes a pooch in a significant job.

Ajmal is known for his performances in movies like ‘Anjathe’ and ‘Ko’. Last seen in AL Vijay’s ‘Devi 2’, Ajmal is also part of a Malayalam horror thriller titled ‘Kshanam’ that has Anu Sithara’s sister Anu Sonara in the female lead. Meanwhile, Nayanthara will be next seen in the devotional film ‘Mookuthi Amman’. She is also shooting for Rajinikanth’s Annaatthe, directed by Siruthai Siva.
