In a current meeting, performing artist Bhavana uncovered her profession designs after her looming wedding to Kannada movie maker Naveen.
The twosome got occupied with March and the on-screen character’s mom had disclosed to us that the wedding date is settled for October 27. A large number of her fans however are anxious to know whether she would proceed with her acting vocation post marriage.

Bhavana had said in the interview, “I always wanted my life partner to be from the film field. I am an actress and I wanted someone who would understand me and my profession… I have been acting since I was 15 years old. I don’t know anything else. I won’t say that (after wedding) I would totally abandon cinema and go elsewhere. If a good character or a movie is offered to me, I will definitely take it up. Naveen is someone who would never object to it.”
Kochi: Lashing out at the male-dominated Malayalam film industry, popular south Indian actress Bhavana said that actresses have no freedom when it comes to choosing the movies.
In a special interview with Manorama News, Bhavana said heroines do not have the same acceptability as heroes when producers seek satellite rights for their projects.
The heroine gets only a second place in the film field. In reality, the approach is that heroines are not necessary,” she said.
No one offered her a higher remuneration after a movie turned a runaway hit, Bhavana pointed out but thanked the audience for all the support they have given to her.
“If you were to look at the films I have done over the years, you would see many hits. But that has not benefited me much financially, no pay hike or anything,” she said.

Actress Bhavana who got engaged to her fiance Naveen in March this year, is all set for an October wedding. The actress is currently shooting in Scotland for her film Adam Joan, so her mother Pushpa confirmed the news.
“The wedding is fixed for October 27 , and it will be held at Thrissur, our native place. It’s going to be a simple one, not a grand celebrity wedding or anything,” she says. “We will be inviting our close relatives, friends and neighbours, but will be selective.” On whether the film industry will be present, she says, “Her close friends will be invited but Bhavana will decide all that. She will be back from Scotland by the end of May. Her brother also needs to make some time to discuss things.” However, there won’t be any function in Kochi as reported in certain portals, she adds.
Bhavana met Naveen, a Kannada film producer and actor, at the set of a film five years ago. Though the couple had decided to get married two years back, Bhavana’s father passed away unexpectedly, and later, Naveen’s mother, because of which the dates got pushed.
