Aahana Kumra opened up on an occurrence including Prakash Jha, in which he passed a comment on her when she was shooting a personal scene for Lipstick Under My Burkha.
This isn’t the first run through a Bollywood entertainer has turned out to talk about their awkward encounters in movie form sets. As of late, in a meeting to a TV channel, Lipstick Under My Burkha on-screen character Aahana Kumra opened up on an occurrence including chief maker Prakash Jha on the arrangements of the 2016 film.
Jha, who was delivering the film, strolled in on the set when Aahana was shooting a close scene.
Aahana said that the maker passed a comment amid the shooting of the scene and it made her awkward.
Aahana said, “I remember once Prakash Jha walked in and there was a scene, where I am filming the sex that is happening. Then he walked in on the set and passed a remark and it was so uncomfortable to hear that from him.”
At that point, the on-screen character went to Alankrita Srivastava, the executive of Lipstick Under My Burkha, and stated, “He isn’t my chief, why he is on the set and for what reason do I need to hear a comment from him? With all due regard, he is a maker.”
Subsequent to tuning in to Aahana, executive Alankrita courteously asked Prakash Jha to leave.
“Alankrtia asked him to leave and he left. He understood that space. He understood the fact that we were not comfortable with him around. He just politely left and that’s really nice of him,” the Lipstick Under My Burkha actress recalled.
Coordinated by Alankrita Srivastava, the multi-starrer film highlighted a group cast including Aahana Kumra, Ratna Pathak Shah, Konkona Sensharma and Plabita Borthakur. The film was discharged in 2016.
Lipstick Under My Burkha depended on the sexual arousing of four ladies (their ages running from an adolescent school young lady to a 55-year-old widow) in Bhopal, who need to break the boundaries of the male centric culture and investigate their internal identities.
Aahana Kumra did not have a decent begin in Bollywood. In a prior meeting to an every day, the on-screen character reviewed her battling period when she had a craving for ending it all.
“A guy touching me inappropriately was something I could never handle. When I came in to the industry, my principles were shaken. One day, I sat myself down in my bedroom and deleted all the blocked numbers. Till date, these people cannot contact me. These are big names! Directors, ADs, producers,” she said.
“They were some people from a known production house, who were part of my circle, but today, they are not my friends anymore,” Aahana added.
On the work front, Aahana Kumra was most recently seen on the wide screen in The Accidental Prime Minister, wherein she tried the job of Congress pioneer Priyanka Gandhi. Aahana has Shamshera in her kitty, which stars Ranbir Kapoor, Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt.
