The first poster for X-Men: Dark Phoenix has been released, with news that the trailer will debut Wednesday night.
Jean Grey, played by Sophie Turner can be seen standing in a silhouette form in front of a galaxy-filled sky with a faint “X” behind her.
X-Men: Dark Phoenix is the next film following 2016’s X-Men: Apocalypse and takes place in the 1990s. It will focus around inspiration from Marvel’s Dark Phoenix Saga comics.
Following the comics, Dark Phoenix is said to be one of the more darker entries of the franchise.
Along with Turner, returning cast members include James McAvoy as Charles Xavier, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler, and Evan Peters as Quicksilver. Jessica Chastain will also join in playing a shapeshifter that meets Phoenix.
X-Men: Dark Phoenix will premiere on Feb. 14, 2019. Read about the details that went on with reshoots and about Oscar-winner Han Zimmer composing the score for the film.
