Its a well known fact that Rajinikanth isn’t simply treated as a actor or a Superstar down South. Such is the addiction for the ‘Thalaiva’ that people go full scale to shower their affection on him and his movies. A similar thing occurred on January 10 when two of Rajinikanth’s obstinate fans in Chennai decide to celebrate the release of Petta by getting married around the same time.
Not simply this! The couple, Anbarasu and Kamachi, got married outside the Woodlands Theater, on Thursday. A phase was set-up where the service occurred with every one of the ceremonies and traditions. From that point, food was disseminated to every one of the fans who had accumulated outside the theater to watch the movie.
Back in Mumbai as well, a theater had facilitated the principal day first show of Petta for fans, the festivals for which started from 5.30 am. They observed Pongal around then, trailed by an extraordinary puja at 6 am, saltine blasting at 6.15 am and a unique 3-minute post 7 am when Rajinikanth makes his entry in the movie.
The Tamil version of the Karthik Subbaraj-directorial released today while the Hindi dubbed version will hit the screens on Friday. Petta marks the Tamil debut of Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui. It also stars Vijay Sethupathi, Sasikumar, Simran, Trisha, Mahendran, Bobby Simha and Guru Somasundaram.
