Is Rajinikanth a prisoner of MISA act in Karthik Subbaraj’s Petta?

Ever since the motion poster and title of Rajinikanth‘s upcoming film were unveiled many fans have come with theories about the story of the film.

So, far it is speculated that Rajinikanth is hostel warden in some college and he has a flashback portion as well. Many such fan theories are flooding the internet. Now, the latest theory suggests that Rajinikanth is a MISA act prisoner in the movie.

A picture of Rajinikanth with actor Ramachandra Durai Raj, who has acted in Jigarthanda and Naan Mahan Alla, has led in this new rumour.

In the picture, Rajinikanth’s is seen sporting a tattoo, and fans have quickly claimed that the tattoo reads ‘MISA 109’. It is then said that Rajinikanth could be a prisoner of MISA act that was imposed during the emergency period of Indra Gandhi.

It is further stated that the flashback portion of the film might be set in that period and Rajinikanth might play the role of a prisoner.Though this theory sounds farfetched, there seem to be a lot of takers for it. Directed by Karthik Subbraja, Petta stars Simran, Trisha, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Vijay Sethupathi in lead roles.
