KOCHI: The CBI officials have searched for the accused, Leena Maria Paul, accused of trying to extort money from a businessman in Hyderabad. According to reports, Lena Maria Paul has been hacked. CBI notice was issued on Leena’s Kochi beauty salon and her home in Chennai.
The CBI has issued a search warrant against Leena after she failed to appear for questioning. Lena’s pictures were issued with vigilance at airports throughout the country.
Leena and her associates demanded a massive bribe in exchange for promising to protect the accused in the CBI case, Sambashiva Rao. The fraud was planned with the help of Lena’s employee Archie. They also misused the landline number of the CBI’s New Delhi headquarters.
According to the complaint, the suspects were identified as Sambashiva Rao, who entered the phone line and used this number. The accused were assisted by Manivarna Reddy from Hyderabad and Selvam Ramaraj from Madurai. When they were arrested and interrogated, the CBI was convinced that it was Leena who planned the incident.
After the incident, Lena went into hiding in Kochi. Subsequently a notice was issued asking him to appear for interrogation.
