Young actor Unni Mukundan will be seen in the much-anticipated movie ‘Mamangam’ with megastar Mammootty. In Mamngam movie Unni Mukundan lead the character of Chandroth Panicker, On working out for his character, he said, “When you think of a warrior, it comes with a certain amount of cliché. He must have a buff physique because he is a protector. So, when I was offered this film, I wanted to make it look different. I don’t think I have dedicated this much time and effort for any of my other characters. I was
never asked by the makers to get into a particular shape; it was a personal choice. I wanted Chandroth Panicker to look like someone you didn’t want to mess with.” After completing Mamangam, Unni will appear in ‘Meppadiyan’ directed by Vishnu Mohan.
The film is produced by Maqtro Productions and the cast includes Sreenivasan, Lena, Hareesh Kanaran, Kalabhavan Shahjahan. The actor took to Instagram to inform that he is getting ready for his next movie ‘Meppadiyan’. The tagline of the movie suggests that it is based on true events. A promo teaser of the
movie was released earlier this year. The teaser suggests the movie to be a thriller. The teaser ends with an animated image of Unni Mukundan blinking his eyes giving a suspense to his character. He was earlier seen in guest roles in ‘Pathinettampadi’ and ‘Grandfather’. The music of the film is by Rahul Subrahmaniam, the editor is Shameer Muhammed and the cinematography is done by Neil D’ Cunha. Unni Mukudan was last seen in the movie Mikhael. He had an important role in this Nivin Pauly starrer. Nivin Pauly was seen playing a doctor in the neo-noir action thriller and it had Unni Mukundan playing a negative character named Marci Jr.
