Anupama Parameswaran is an actress who changed her mind with her single ‘Premam’. Although she was not a heroine in Premam, Anupama came in a role similar to the heroine. With the arrival of Anupama in the Telugu version of the film, many opportunities came up from Telugu in search of the star. Later, Anupama became a busy Telugu actress. Although she has not acted in many Malayalam movies, Anupama has acted in many Telugu films. Now Anupama is revealing her reason for staying away from Malayalam cinema.
It was the movie Premam that changed my life. When love was first released, allegations that I was Jada and arrogant began to spread all over social media. I had given several interviews for the promotion of the movie Premam at that time. I gave interviews after hearing many people say to take advantage of the opportunity. But those who advised me had nothing to do with the cinema.
I was a girl born and raised in an ordinary house in Thrissur. I had no movie connections. What they said was followed. When the movie was released I had very little screen time, so people started trolling me. They told me that I used publicity for my personal growth. It made me very tired.
So I decided to stay away from the Malayalam cinema. After Premam, I did not do much Malayalam films. Many opportunities came to me from Malayalam. But for fear of trolls, I turned it down. It was then that I received an invitation from Telugu to do a negative role. I accepted it. Later I was able to be a part of many Telugu films. The trolls who came after me were the ones who went after Telugu films as I did not get a chance in Malayalam.
