Even as the Indian market is awaiting the Redmi Note 4, reports stating that its successor, the Redmi Note 5, will hit the Chinese market soon are rife on social media. The Note 5 can be termed as a compact mid-range smartphone and will be available in two storage variants – 32GB and 64GB.
The phone is most likely to be powered either by a 2.0GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 octa-core chipset or a 2.1GHz MediaTek Helio x25 deca-core chipset along with an expected 4GB RAM. The phone seemingly has a 5.5-inch screen protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and will run on the latest Android 7.1 Nougat- based MIUI 8.
The Redmi Note 5 is expected to feature decent primary (16MP) and secondary (8MP) cameras for photography and would supposedly pack a 4,000 mAh Li-ion battery along with provisions for Quick Charge 3.0.
Just like Xiaomi’s other phones, the Note 5 will be made available first to the Chinese market and would reportedly be unveiled there in the coming summer. It is quite difficult to fathom as to when it will be out on the global front.
The best price in India for Redmi Note 5 is expected to be around 13,999 INR. You can also subscribe to Smartprix alerts to get latest updates regarding the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5.
