In a shocking incident, a retired Junior Engineer of Powercom allegedly killed his NRI daughter and later committed suicide by hanging himself with the ceiling fan at his house in Gulmohar Avenue here on Sunday. Girl, who had come to India to visit her guardians in their Amritsar house, was purportedly hit on the head with an iron rod by her dad, making her died on spot.
Father Killed Daughter
David Masih (60), seemed to have suffered from depression, which led him to act recklessly with his daughter. Niloufar (35) succumbed to her injuries from the hit soon after. The incident happened on Sunday morning when the victim’s mother had gone to a nearby church for Sunday prayers.
