Prohibition: Restrictions and exemptions are as follows, Are you allowed to travel?

The increase in Covid-19 cases is leading the state to a serious situation. The number of infected people is increasing day by day. The ban announced by the government will come into effect from today in the wake of increasing cases of contact and death. Strict restrictions have been imposed in various districts of the state till October 31. The ban was imposed by the respective district collectors. Although there are no restrictions on public transportation, the main goal is to avoid crowded situations. The restrictions are being tightened as the number of Covid cases continues to rise in the state. Concerns about restrictions are also active among the public in the wake of the ban. The ban has been imposed in 11 districts of the state amid an increase in Covid cases. The ban was initially announced in Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Kollam, Kottayam, Kozhikode, Idukki, Palakkad, Malappuram, Thrissur, Alappuzha and Pathanamthitta districts, but the ban was extended to Kannur and Wayanad districts. The ban was announced by the collectors after assessing the situation in the districts.

The ban is in place but the required services are not regulated. Grocery, medicine, milk, vegetables, meat and fish will be available, although there are special restrictions in the containment zones. Those in the containment zones can go outside for needs such as revenue, health, police, local government, electricity, sanitation and water supply. The police will control the situation. If there is any kind of need in these areas, the police will intervene in matters including restrictions. The district administration has imposed special restrictions in the containment zones in the wake of escalation of Covid cases. No more than five people in these areas except for marriage and funerals. 20 people can attend the funeral and 50 people can attend the wedding. No more than 20 people are allowed to attend government and religious-political events. No gatherings of any kind in public places. In Thiruvananthapuram, various restrictions were imposed in and out of the containment zone.

The ban comes as the number of Covid cases is on the rise. More than a thousand Covid positive cases were reported in four districts on Friday. The number of people staying in homes and hospitals has also increased. In this case, the ban was announced to avoid crowds and prevent contact without declaring a lockdown. There is no complete closure anywhere in the state. The exemptions for the fifth phase of Unlock announced by the Central Government will come into effect from the 15th of this month. The situation will be re-evaluated before 15 and further action will be taken. The ban will change if covid cases decrease by the end of October. But there are indications that these changes will take place in districts step by step. Government offices, public sector undertakings and banks can follow the Covid protocol. No more than five in shops and banks. The announced exams can be conducted. If you see more than five people in hotels, restaurants and other shops, it will be considered a violation of the ban. The activities of markets, bus stops, public transport, offices, shops, restaurants, workplaces, hospitals, examination centers and industrial establishments should be carried out only under strict restrictions in compliance with the Break the Chain guidelines and social distance.

The central government had earlier stated that it would open educational institutions after the 15th of this month. The Center had said that the states could decide on the opening of schools. In the current situation, the government is not in favor of opening schools. Movie theaters and multiplexes will not reopen soon after the ban comes into effect. The Center had earlier said that theaters and multiplexes outside the ontainment zones would be open from October 15.
