“I cleared the examination last year with a rank of 250 but did not manage to get selected for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS). In any case, I got past the Indian Police Service (IPS),” he says.

Abhishek took up the IPS situate and was experiencing preparing at the National Police Academy, Hyderabad when the UPSC 2017 outcomes were reported, and his life changed until the end of time. There was no thinking back at this point.

“From 2014 it took me almost 1.5 years to feel that I was competent enough to be selected. Each year that I wrote the examination, I felt more in control. In 2016, I finally learnt from my mistakes and did reasonably well,” he added.

“I would wake up at 5:30 a.m. on most days and head to the gym by 6:00 a.m. After an hour of working out, I would return to my room in Rajinder Nagar, a place where many civil service aspirants live.After a quick breakfast, I would head to the library in Rajinder Nagar, which is considered a mecca for all aspirants. The next twelve hours would be spent there, with a few breaks for tea and lunch in between,” he further added.

Abhishek says that while most competitors grumble about the measure of cash these focuses charge, on the off chance that one is extremely excited about it, at that point there dependably is an exit plan.

He says, “On the off chance that you are a decent competitor and are not kidding enough, you can approach any instructing focus and demand that they enlist you for their course.”

What’s Next?

Abhishek will join the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in Mussoorie in August, and until at that point, he intends to invest his energy traversing India.“I have travelled a lot outside India, so I plan to use this time to explore my country. Kerala and Ladakh are on my list of places to visit,” he says.
